Tubi home is a homestay chain in Hanoi, Vietnam. One of the owners is my childhood friend whom I often helped with house decoration. This time, she asked me to draw a sign for their new homestay with the concept of chibi carp, because carp is considered a symbol of prosperity in life and fortune in business.
I picked up colors that were most be seen at the house.
In my imagination, the art should include two fishes representing the owners, house name, slogan, and water as my wish for them (Tiền vô như nước” as “May money flow in like water!”), the color should be warm to make customers feel like home.
Final result is pretty satisfying! Colors are sweet and welcoming.
For printing version, I added a warm background to match with vintage theme of the building.
